Mike Hehir

Mike, Managing Partner of Basecamp Apartment Advisors Inc., founded the company with partner, Ken Torres. Prior to the creation of Basecamp, Mike was a top producing Senior Investment Broker at a multifamily firm in the Carolinas. Throughout his 21 year professional career, Mike has worked in commercial real estate brokerage and development across several asset types including retail, office and land.

Mike holds a Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management with a concentration in RE Finance from the University of Denver’s Daniel’s College of Business as well as a Finance degree from Siena College. Associations have included NAIOP, ULI, ICSC and the USGBC. Mike proudly lives in North Carolina with his wife and two sons. He also maintains strong ties to the Northeast & Colorado.

Ken Torres

Ken, Managing Partner of Basecamp Apartment Advisors Inc., founded the company with partner, Mike Hehir. Prior to the creation of Basecamp, Ken capped off an impressive 20 year career with Carrier Corporation in a National Operations Leadership role for a $1B field service business spanning the North America with almost 3,000 employees. Throughout his tenure with this Fortune 50 company, Ken grew to hold a number of high level positions where he built strong relationships with customers, served in sales leadership and general management with annual responsibility for $100M P&Ls. Ken also project managed a vast number of large scale commercial construction projects. As a result of his impressive work experience, Ken brings strong sales, operational, and leadership experience to accompany his financial acumen which makes him the backbone of Basecamp Apartment Advisors.

Ken has redirected his career to follow his passion for real estate and real estate investments. Since obtaining his license, Ken has worked closely with Mike to learn every aspect of the business.

Ken achieved his Mechanical Engineering degree from the New York Maritime Academy and holds his LEED Associate designation. He is married with a daughter and a son.
